Um... the people on the show signed a contract agreeing to do this sort of stuff. They can walk away at any time too. The show is just trying to be more extreme that's all. Ratings are probably going down. Maybe their marketers think that body poking will be good for the show?

$50,000 is definitely worth it that is like more than a years work to most people just to get poked with a needle. Anyone that says it isn't worth the money is ridiculous, the only way it isn't worth it is that you aren't guaranteed the money, but if they said I would for sure get $50,000 they could pierce my arm with a half inch spike, I know a lot of people don't understand the value of a dollar but that is a crapload of money.
