So when are the cars from New Orleans going to show up on ebay?

I'd like a new car and I don't mind doing repairs if I could get an otherwise nice car for really cheap! I guess once they drain the city for a second time?

Avoid them like the plague unless you're after specific parts that aren't going to be damaged by water.

Not sure. I guess it depends what I can find and how much it'll cost me to repair. I'm looking for something new though, probably 2004+. I'm figuring i'll need to spend around $5000 in repairs.

Repairing a car that was completely flooded is going to cost you more than that.

There have been several warnings here about buying used cars. We are a good 8 hours from there, but they fully expect them to start showing up around the southeast very soon. Folks are cautioned to research the vehicle fully before buying. It's suggested they will be popping up for the next year or two.
