Will be going to a party at a friend's, then heading to the only bar in town because that's the only thing to do here.

Nah, not really joking. I'm in the minority here at AT. I'm over 40, married with children, with child from a previous go-round. I've got more baggage than LAX, more issues than National Geographic and my glass is always half empty.

Pass the Xanax, please.

It always feels good to see MichaelD in a cheery mood. :)

Pentagon is the Heptagon of 2012. Biostud did the Hepta thing last year. He's going for the big-time now.

Not sure, either gonna drink with my GF, or going to go with the GF to a friends party.

Roger that. I haven't been to a NYE party in at least a decade. I think people just stopped having them at their homes like they used to. Plus we have a toddler at home. There is no life anymore. :| The wife will be on Facebook all night posting about how she wishes she had a better, more exciting life (thanks honey, I feel great now...) and I'll be in my mancave playing videogames and fantasizing about my single life 10 years ago.

Marriage = Virtual Death

LOL, wait a minute, I thought your new marriage and wife were going great? What happened?

Nothing major went wrong. Just the usual BS that happens when a working, career-type woman decides she wants to get married, have a baby and stay home. That and I'm in a new job I don't really care for; though I am grateful to have a job in this day and age. Just a bit of rough patch; nothing major. You know how much I like to bitch for the hell of it. I just had a little diahrrea of the mouth, that's all. :D

Key West - not sure if we'll be watching the transvestite on a shoe drop, or the conch at sloppy joes, or the wench on the pirate ship drop. Whatever the case, it'll be with me very very drunk and on the lookout for drunken titties for beads.

young and child-less

Get it right MichaelD - that's young and "child-free".

I'm not exactly young anymore - but at 32 probably aren't "old" either. But my wife and I have Two Healthy Incomes, and No Kids. Gonna stay that way. Reproducing is not all its cracked up to be. All my old friends who became breeders significantly changed, much as you did. Resigned themselves to a life of drudgery, hating themselves, hating life, getting up, going to work, feed, take care of children, repeat. Failing a major change in my and my wives life philosophy, we will also not change in that manner.

Good luck to you though and hope that the little scamps bring you much joy.

Went to Times Square once to see the ball drop. The massive amount of people there was insane. Pickpockets and thieves everywhere. Lots of horny guys trying rub there junk up against unsuspecting women.
