So what's your experience with Gmail?

it's slowly becoming my primary account. I don't use POP3, so I can't comment on that, but I've only gotten a handful of spam messages in the months that I've been using it (without setting up any filters, compared to the hundreds I get every day on my yahoo and hotmail accounts, even with custom filters set up).

I forward all my other accounts to it (well, copy-forward) so that I can use it as a quick and easy way to check email while at work. Then I download via POP3 from my other accounts when I get home.

Primary account. Use it everyday. I like it and have no real issues with it.

i think some of you just suck at setting up POP3 because i have none of those problems and i use outlook.

btw, i love gmail. it is by far the best web-based email interface ive ever seen/used and it is very user-friendly.

i have 3 of them, and i only used them to send out invites to other people

they all get ass loads of spam tho, into the bulk folder, and ive never given the addys out anywhere

It's not my primary account, but I like it so far.

I like the "conversation" display of emails and their replies.

I don't like some parts of the interface, such as the reply / forward links at the bottom of a message and the lack of a delete button on the inbox screen.

I, unlike other members, like the thread like layout. The non-existant trash button is rather annoying. I suppose their reasoning behind that would be that you have 1 GB of storage so why would you EVER want to delete any email.

I don't know, I had it setup and working for a long time. And only noticed these things happening recently, within the past 2 weeks.

For some reason I cannot receive email from people with Gmail account on my primary email account Yahoo. I have no idea how to fix it.

I use go.com for primary spambox/shopping but transitioning (slowly) to google second. I use my isp account for family/friends. Lastly (or firstly) I use my work account for work.

Mostly I just use IM.

i've been using it since summer of 2004 and i love it. i've only gotten like 2 or 3 spam mail ever since. it's my primary and my permanent one from now on.

gmail is primary - ALL other accounts now get forwarded to gmail.

It has the BEST spam filter. Out of thousands of email - maybe 2-3 have been marked wrong.

My Gmail account has definitely taken over as my primary e-mail account. I haven't linked it thru Outlook yet, but I love the web interface & the Notifier that runs in your toolbar. Plus, 1 gig of storage? You gotta love it!
