so what's up with the free lexmark printer in Compousa?

as in the title...I am wondering if someone on the east coast can tell me about the free lexmark printer...
it's free with no purchase of Windows XP required right?

Yes.. it is free w/o winXP, at least at our storeand probably at your store.. Read my post in the "main thread."

I've seen people walking around the store with the Lexmark printer in their hands without a box of WinXP, so I decide to ask a rep if a purchase is necessary and he told me yes. I think he just doesn't know what he's talking about

To get the $50 part of the rebate, it has to be purchased with XP. There is a $30 rebate from Lexmark, and another $50 on the big "bundle rebate" form, which has a mark by the printer stating that it has to be purchased with XP.

On the Midnight Madness flyer, it has no mention as to whether it must be purchased with XP. On the lower right hand of the front page, there was no asterix by the item name.
