So, what's the latest audio CD you've purchased?

About a year ago. Opeth and Clutch released their latest albums.

Clutch is slated to drop one sometime in the next few weeks and I'll probably grab that.

Opeth has another due out this year. 😉

Bang On A Can - Music For Airports
Bjork - ...Surrounded (dualdisc box set)
Brian Eno - January 07003: Bell Studies For The Clock Of The Long Now

Nice to see people still buy CD's.

I can't believe people have bought a cd for nearly a decade...I can bearly go a couple weeks without buying one.

I'm going through a funk/soul phase at the moment

just coming off a string of dum

I bought 4 in February:

Avenged Sevenfold - City of Evil
Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt.2 - Scenes From A Memory
Jem - Finally Woken
Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth (Dual Disc)

I only buy SACD's since those can't be bought through AllOfMP3. I would buy songs through iTunes and legal means, but they don't offer any source of lossless/high bitrate MP3's, which I can't deal with. Once they start selling them on iTunes, I'll be there.

Anyway, the last (SA)CD I bought was Pink Floyd's "The Wall" Live in Concert.

Holst - The Planets - Levine/CSO
Mozart - Requiem - Karajan/BPO
Mozart - Eine kleine Nachtmusik, Posthorn-Serenade - Levine/VPO

Death - The Sound of Perseverence

I buy a CD every two weeks, and have done so for almost 10 years now. $15-$20 every 15 days is no biggie. 🙂 I already know which my next CD will be, and that's Bach's Well Tempered Clavier played by Glenn Gould.

I will continue buying CDs until digital distribution is the only way to go. I like actually owning it (specially with classical music; some of the booklets, specially Deutsche Gramaphon's, are almost worth the price of admition alone!), and it sure beats the sound quality of those 128kbps MP3s floating around the net. It boggles my mind how people can listen to such crap sound quality.

"Limp Bizkit - Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water" when it came out. Holy crap that was so long ago! LOL! 😀

Most recent CD I bought was the Garden State soundtrack
Most recent CD I bought for myself was Metallica - St. Anger

I listen to the radio almost exclusively.

I just bought several:

How the West was Won - Led Zeppelin
Kickin' It - Hamilton Loomis
From the Hip - Gravy
What you hear is what you get - Bad Company

Not his best work, but a Death cd is always great.

Well, it's my first Death CD and a friend suggested it. So far I like it, but I just got it this morning. It takes me some listenings to get a taste for albums. I specially like the second track; it has a nice, thrashy headbaning feeling. That's always good. I'll probably get another Death CD soon.

Any recommendations as to which one I should get next?
