So, what's the deal with 'Spec V' Nissan Sentra anyway?

Is it Roman numerals for Spec 5? If so, why don't they just say Spec 5? Or is Spec V simply the next in line after Spec U? Was there a Spec U model before it?

Dons flame suit...

Subaru's boxer engine is horizontly opposed rather than inline.

I4's and H4's, but no V4's. (that i know of at least)

Could a V twin motorcycle engine be considered a V4? I know V4 doesn't sound nearly as 'cool' as V twin though.

If it was a 4 cylinder, instead of a twin, then maybe you would call it a V4. What do you think the "twin" in "v-twin" refers to?

Twin Vs? I guess I didn't think that one through very much. It's not like I haven't seen these engines before either...
