Greetings

Well, It's that wonderful time again to format my HDD so I thought I would see what the flavor of the month is now a days for web browsing :)

Btw, I've been using FF for a few years now and it still seems alright but I'm always up for trying something better....Thanks

Firefox or Opera are my favorite. Maxthon isnt bad if you are looking for an IE based browser.

Arachne, I got tired of having bloated GUIs that use X amount of memory and create processes or services on my computer, so I went back to DOS because I spend more time looking at task manager than I do actually using my computer when I have a GUI.

(Truthfully, I prefer Internet Explorer 7 due to its high speed and activeX support, but I use firefox because of Ad-Shield Plus and FlashBlock)

I used to use Firefox, but as soon as IE got a popup blocker and tabs, I switched back. IE7 FTW.

IE7. I never saw the need to ever switch, even with IE6. But now that I have the power of tabbed browsing, I definitely see it's strengths.

A browser's a browser when used in it's stock configuration. That's what makes Firefox the best. You can customize it in hundreds of different ways so you'll have tools that are useful to you

Some browser are much easier to configure to say, block ads (Firefox)
On the other hand, the current build of Firefox and the quotes page of
Yahoo Finance do not play well together. Slow scrolling when real time
quotes are on and Yahoo insists on making the display font smaller than
what I prefer ... Opera works better for that site. Firefox forums think
this may be resolved in FF3 due out later this year ... something about
the type of coding that Yahoo Finance is using (Ajax I think is what they use)

I die a slow death every time I have to use a computer without Flashblock + Adblock + Noscript. So FF for me ;)
