So what's the best car color for looking good all the time?

Saw a post in the Infinity G35 thread that talked about how Black is such a pain to keep looking nice-- sure it's a beauty after washing+waxing, but other than that it looks bad.

Well my second color choice, white or pearl apparently sucks for this too.

So what color would be good then?

I think red looks the best. I have a black 2005 mustang GT and I can tell you that it is a pain in the ass to keep it looking pristine. Any little dust on it and will magnified 10x as much. I wipe it down every other day that I take it out. My car never seen rain, snow or water. I always hand wipe it off.

my gray never really looked dirty. I chose white this time only because I didn't want another gray in the driveway and it definitely does not look dirty as quickly as a black would. I think water stains over the course of a week or crap from snow kicking up is the only way it looks dirty. I'm pretty satisfied with white - it looks classy while gray or black looks sporty. Personal opinion, unless you have a supercar, red was for the '80s.

silver and silverish colors hide dirt exceptionally well, but imho those colors all but make the statement that the appearance of your car isn't important to you.

I agree, black looks great right after care, but shows dirt readily. My car is metallic black, wife's ride is metallic silver. I wonder why I even bother washing her truck for all the difference it makes.

I say get the color you like best and don't be gaffe about keeping it clean.

Good advice, I like this the best; thanks.

My favorite color is burgundy metallic - prefer a lighter burgundy over the darker variety but many dislike this color.

Charcoal gray - they never look dirty.

silver or gray. white actually isn't bad for hiding dirt, imho.

beige is probably best but it's boring and ugly. i think you have to go to the buffet for dinner at 4:30 in order to drive a beige car.

Silver.

Our new ride is silver, and it still looks pristine after winter and no car wash. Dirt blends right in, black sludge accents it. I think it's boring as hell though. It's practically the "white", "I can't decide on a colour, go-to colour".

White is beautiful, but dirties really easilly. I want one.

silver is another good one, my Accord coupe i used to own was silver and looked good dirty or clean

edit, it was more a blueish silver here's a pic of it

I dig silver. Don't think it's boring. Black and white are boring, imho. And red is pretty lame if it's not on a ferrari or lambo, imho. I hate little girl "sporty" cars.

I'm getting what I like to think as a cross between silver and blue. It is basically a light blue, but it looks silverish especially in the sunlight, but definitely more blue on a cloudy day. But it still doesn't look all that dirty. Some of my guy friends dont like it, but I do.

i really like the steel blue colors. less boring than silver and gray but the same dirt hiding properties
