TVR Tamora >>>>>>>> Lotus Elise

Heck, it's better than a Boxster S or a Honda S2000 or a Audi TT or 350Z Roadster... you get the idea.

The Elise is PUREST sports you can buy.

Nothing compares.

TVR is different, awesome car, but different ball game.

Btw, you guys have to see a Caterham 7 in action..its bloody awesome.

Amazing Power to weight ratio , telepathic handling abilities , Nice Looks .If you go on Kazaa you might find an old video where a Elise hassles an F40 around a tightish track. An F40 for goodness sake ! The only flaws I can see with it , is that the construction quality is still not very great and that the Rover K Series engine we Euros get , is starting to feel a bit old.

I've personally seen an Exige in person, and it totally looks the business

Btw , here where I live we have an Modded Elise with a Turbocharged Honda Engine and some spray. It his 309 kmh the other day on a Official High Speed Sprint.

but aren't there a lot of cars that are as light as lotuses, like MR2's, miatas, etc?

This might be an indirect but appropriate analogy.

Why would anyone buy a Ducati, when so many Japanese sport bikes are cheaper to
buy and maintain. There almost the same......NOT.

Yes, and no. The lotus is still lighter than any of those alternatives (although all decent cars in their own right). Also the Lotus does carry quite the racing heritage (not that Toyota or Mazda don't, they just aren't as 'old' as Lotus). The other thing is the spirit with which the cars are built. When lotus builds a car they are thinking racetrack from the very begining (in fact often their cars are released as "off road use only" before they are "street legal"), whereas Toyota or Mazda is marketing those cars to your typical daily driver.

Sometimes, when people don't get it, they just don't get it...

What's up with the Mona Lisa, and why do people spend time in museums?

Why do people race in circles? No wait, I don't get that either...

You are an idiot. He's saying they are designed purely from the perspective of the driver's experience and racing ability.

How do you know, man? Have you driven the Elise and the TVR extensively, both on and off the track, to be able to come to that conclusion?

Armchair Racing = boring.
