sometimes it isn't about what you have on paper. i have a pretty crappy GPA of 2.5 something, but the things that i did during my college years definately make up for it. i took ~18 hrs of classes every semester except for my freshman year, worked part-time through out the year, played sports, and was part of a fraternity. i usually just wow people in the interview and just explain how i am more well rounded compared to other applicants because of my experiences. and that being more well rounded is better for whatever company i'm applying at.

See, my goal right now is to apply for a job in like 5 years maybe. Switch from Active Army, Finish a degree, then find a federal job. Kind of a rough plan though. Hopefully a computer science degree + military time (as a MP no less) would help.

I used to work in state government. They were always desperate to get veterans hired on.
