So they going to hire Robin Williams to do the Mac Nano.

Dust off the Mork from Ork costume and say, Nano Nano. Although they might do it in that stupid silhouette.

hehe, that's exactly what I had going through my head. 🙂 (Mork didn't pronounce it quite like "nano", but it'll work)

I'm tempted to sell off my 30gb Dell DJ and get a 4gb Nano. I only use about 5 gigs of songs anyway, not like I need all that storage.

Surveys of iPod users show that most store an average of 500 songs on their iPod. Nowhere near the 10,000 song capacity.

You still have to use iTunes... I manage my music collection in Windows Media Player. Do Media Player and iTunes get along?

Also, is the Nano still HD based, or is it flash based? I'm having trouble finding the answer on Apple's site. EDIT: NM, 2GB and 4GB flash based. Very cool.

I'm 99.9% sure it's flashed based... there is no way they could get a hard drive into something that small.

also, it depends on how you put all your music in... if it's WMA it won't work with the ipod, if it's mp3, it'll work.

it is flash based. just the pricing is a little off from what was speculated... should be $50 cheaper on the 4GB.. and no 2GB option (yes, i know, they make a lot more profit this way, i'm just dreaming)

STILL no FM tuner? Come on Apple, almost EVERY other MP3 player offers that option now! Sure, it's not something that you're going to use all that often, but it still would be nice for things like live weather and traffic reports.

live weather and traffic reports are what AM radio is for

i would much rather have an AM radio tuner than an FM radio tuner. FM radio is dead to me. oh boy i can listen to the same 10 rock tracks over and over again!

Adding radio would make people buy less music, listen to fewer PodCasts, etc. iPod wants to control the flow of media, and they can only do it through iTunes.

I'll be all over the nano in a couple months when everyone decides that they don't want theirs anymore

FM radio sucks. Outside of using it to tune into TVs at the gym it has no use. Two songs, 10 commecials. No thanks.
