People went nuts and the demand for a $1000 video card now by far exceeds the supply. Other than that, the x1800xt is available for ~$500, the x1600 is available for ~$150, and the AGP 6800gs is MIA.

I finally upgraded to a X800 XT AIW and can't wait to play with HDV (new editor allowed me to drop SIL 1080p into the timeline and then export it as MPEG-HD - it will be about 2-4x faster with the new card.)

Where that may show its worth (besides FEAR) is SLId and running Unreal 3 and UT2007. I'd also like to see some COD2 benches with it.

Actually WTF is with those 12X10 benches on that rig?!

Asus should have sent ME that rig-

I'd post FEAR, Q4, and SS2 at 16X12 and 19X14 4X16X and 8X16X, as well as SLI AA benches.

That is just WEAK to post 12X10s with that uber-rig. Dr. Tom must have written Tino a prescription that day!

With an almost 400W power output, I wouldn't even ask for these cards, tbh. I'm into performance, but that's beyond over the top imo. If they get sent to me, on the other hand...I may find a use for them, but I won't actively pursue it.

Don't care much about Quadros, but I'd make room in the box for quad 7800GTs.

I thought you told us to buy games for NOW, not the future? Also, R580 will be out long before UT 2007, as well as G71 so we'll see how that pans out.
