I would suggest something active, anything where sitting around being quiet is not required. If you are a poor student I would suggest taking her to the mall or for a walk anywhere and protend figure out what she likes thru conversation. It will make her think you really care or something. Buy her a snack while you are on the walk that will make you into that sweet guy she will tell all her friends about.

I don't know if most guys want to go to the mall - don't think that would be the best idea
