The answer is that it really depends on the environments within which humans live over the next million years. If civilization falls and we end up having an ice age, for example, things will turn out far differently than if civilization advances and we end up with further global warming.

People assume that we as a species will evolve into something better, and that's not necessarily true. Evolution doesn't have a goal; as the environment changes, how we evolve becomes a moving target.
