When Half Life 2 was origionally announced to be released and when I was going to get my new (current) computer. The amd athlon xp "barton" 2500+ was all the rage being able to oc to 3200+ speeds for only 90 bucks at Newegg.

hmm, I think it was at the time of the 1GHz T-birds...the AYHJAR, IIRC. Bought one, but ended up having to sell it due to financial trouble.
