So, what is so bad about Stockton, CA?

Uh, isn't it a GOOD THING to be so close to the bay area? I don't really think Stockton is that bad myself... As long as you stay away from the bad parts (like every city in the US).

Went to UOP for 4 years and now I work in Stockton full time, it's really not that bad, and it gets better each year.

our favorite Chinese restaurant was there,
but we always tried to get out of town before dark.

Heh pretty much. What probably sucks the most is the stretch of 580 from the Bay Area to the Central Valley. That thing is way over capacity and the traffic is just awful.

Take Highway 12 a little farther north...I like the drive better too. More miles but better drive IMO.
