So I started this thread because I actually thought it was a nuisance.

Some members mentioned a double standard. Which I wanted to prove wrong so I stated that I would do a social experiment. I changed the topic up a little keeping the rant as innocuous as the first one. Little did I know I received more hate in this new thread than the old one.

Note that these issues are about on par with each other in terms of offensiveness by my book. So why then, was it okay to point out something about Asians and be fine but not fine for black people?
Short conclusion:
I was proven wrong about the double standard, as can be seen from the replies of the second thread.
It's become a taboo to mention black people in any sort of negative light much like it has become a taboo to mention incest even if practiced safely. (eg separated twins)
possible sub conclusion: Asians have not been sensitive to racial slurs historically, thus the taboo was never formed when dealing with Asians. Note the Asian vs African American population of this forum.
Other races: inconclusive.
Perknose & Mods: Thanks for the PM. I'm not trying to start anything with this. Just thought it was interesting.
Old thread revived by Quebert for no fathomable reason.
