Hmmmm... It's a crappy job that I've worked at for a number of years, but let me say that I just don't care anymore about keeping it anymore...
Anyhow, the Boss (after I went away to do something) announces to the crew at 5:45, that they have to stay an extra half hour today(6:30), and if they left at their scheduled out time (6:00) it would be considered walking off the job...
Thing is, we have a union and in the contract it states that to hold people over, that management has to say something an hour before, so I left at my out time which was 6:00... He didn't ask me to stay over and didn't say anything about working over until fifteen minutes before my punch out time??? Well, I left at my out time at 6:00!
And to top if off, this lady that works in our department thought she was to be out at 5:00, but wasn't to leave until 5:30 - she left at 5:00, but I ran into her before she had gone and told her about the 5:30 thing... She called our boss and asked to be punched back in and he tells her it's okay to go!?!
If I have to go to the union because I'm fired, all I have to do is bring that up about this lady... They can't claim they wanted to hold people over to finish the work if they
let others leave early... My boss is a real dumb-ass...
How was you day?
