So what do you think the best one-hit wonder band song is?

I kinda like 99 Red Balloons - Nena; but only because of the awesome cover done of the song (plus my son's old band did an awesome cover)
Or, old school rap: Rapper's Delight (sugar hill gang?)
I've also always liked "She Blinded Me with Science" - Thomas Dolby
and
Cars - Gary Neuman
Too Shy - Kajagoogoo (I'll admit to liking that song)
and Play that Funky Music - Wild Cherry


But, I agree with above - Take On Me - A Ha is easily the best one hit wonder... one of the best videos too, back when I watched MTV (wayyyy back in the day when they played music videos 24/7)

I thought the question was "best one-hit wonder",
Not the one-hit biggest wonder (as in "I wonder why that was a hit?")

I remember hating the video for Gary Numan's song Cars... therefore I'm still voting for A Ha. Time for the OP to put up a poll 🙂

semisonic may have been a one hit wonder in the public eye, but they put out a few quality albums. "Singing in my sleep" is a great song as well.
