Then if you are enjoying those mods that much then you need to add Requiem to that mix. You have to plan most fighting even sometimes against mudcrabs and often it makes much more sense to just run away. For those old school RPG fans I am sure would enjoy the realistic and dangerous characteristics of fighting that actually make you decide if you want to fight, talk, pay up, or run away.

I would be concerned about making changes so far along into this character, but I guess I can't lose as long as I keep a save around. Requiem sounds interesting.

Well Requiem makes some massive changes to perks and leveling as well as equipment and ai so you basically have to start a new game.

Bumping this thread to say what a blast I'm having with Skyrim after getting it all modded up. My first play-through I felt a little meh about it: beautiful scenery, lame world. The expectation as always with these games is let the modders do their thing. Playing Skyrim again two years later really validates that.

It takes a pretty significant investment of time to get everything installed, the data files cleaned, the load order right, etc. But the result is well worth it. The added immersion from mods like SkyTEST, Immersive weapons/armors, Immersive Patrols, Frostfall, Wet & Cold, etc., is awesome. Here is my current mod list for anyone who is interested. This is stable and performs well on my i7-3770 w/16GB and a GTX660, although I am pretty sure I am right on the edge of Papyrus not being able to run all the scripts without lag.

Hope you started a new game for all those mods.

Yeah I created a test character and then added and configured mods and load order very carefully, archiving the complete game between each change and documenting everything I did. That's why I mentioned that it took a good investment of time. Once I had it stable I archived the final version and started a new game.

I should mention one weird thing I've noticed: NPCs attacking birds. A lot of times when I come up on a bandit, necromancer, or forsworn camp a bunch of them are running around firing spells and arrows into the air, and the only conclusion I can come to is that they are attacking the birds for some reason. I haven't bothered to look into why, but it's pretty funny. Maybe it's a bug in birds and flocks or birds of skyrim.

[Edit: turns out it is an issue between airborne perching birds and other mods that add factions. There is a complicated hotfix for it, but it doesn't bother me enough to implement it.]

Yah NPCs start attacking anything that comes near them in my game including animals. They still give the warning to me although.

Did you ever try Requiem?

Not yet. I was focused on more immersion within the existing game world for this round. After I finish this game I would like to try a complete overhaul.
