So, we've got this 5 month-old kitten..........

Cute guy named Jasper. Softest coat ever felt. He's an inquisitive little guy..........watches everything we do, but apparently a bit too closely. Over the last couple of weeks, we've occasionally been finding the toilet seat/lid wet when either of us goes into the bathroom. We caught him yesterday and confirmed our guess.............he's peeing in the toilet. Squats on the seat and goes. It's just his aim isn't any too good. And he doesn't know the difference between the lid up or down, so the lid now stays up and seat down. Seems this is becoming his preferred spots for liquid elimination. Weird!

I think you can buy a cat toilet platform. I know someone whose cat has his own toilet.

My g/f is currently teaching her cats to go on the toilet. There's a little kit for it you can buy at some pet stores. Basically, it's a litter box that sits in the toilet. You let them get used to going up there, then you cut larger and larger holes out of the center. When you get to the largest hole, you take it out and supposedly they will go in the toilet from then on.

We cut the smallest hole out about a week ago and everything is going to plan so far.

I dunno about the kit, but many people train their cats to use the toilet.

Sounds like a good idea to me, I love cats but I'm not willing to do the whole litterbox thing for the sake of having one around.

Sorry, no pics........he's rather "shy" when it comes to this and although we have tried to catch him in the act w/ or w/o camera, he scampers off as soon as we appear anywhere near him while he's on the commode.

Koing.......still riding. In fact, just changed the oil and taking her out in a half-hour. Got a 150 mile route planned for this fine, excellent riding day.

Go ahead and teach Jasper how to use the toilet. You'll save tons of money in kitty litter.

I've seen websites that talk about how to train a cat to do that, but I've never known anyone who does. We always leave the toilet seats and cover down because we dont' need our dog getting a drink from there. So our cats use the litter box like everyone else.

But if you can get him/her to improve the aim, then heck, you can save time and money from cleaning the litterbox all the time.

Maybe he sees you guys as his moms and is learning toiletry from you. Afterall it's the mother cat that teaches the kitten to bury its waste.

Cool. So how was the ride?

I haven't ridden in a while. Well I tell a lie, I ride most saturdays to the gym and back. About a mile and a bit round trip. The gym is close but walking is a pain. But from 22nd Monday onwards I will be cycling to the station and then from then at the other end at Waterloo I will cycle to my college. Then back again. Every day so that will be some cycling. Glad I have a fast bike.
