and we cant. seriously. every store in indiana only has like 2-3, and they sell out every day. we went to the dealership for the second time, and we had to park a loong way away, and when we got there, there were 8 ppl waiting to test drive the single camry they had there.

they say they didnt think ppl would buy as much as they are so theres a shortage...this is gay. as soon as my parents wanna get me a car we cant f ucking find it.

if my parents were going to get a car worth that much for me I'd take the money and get a higher end used car.

hmmm and I was thinking about looking into buying a new Camry. Them being this popular probably won't help with any price negociations.

Cars are already a terrible investment monetarily, and you can't even get a "deal" since its so rare. Go buy something else

Accord's have good resale value and they're trying to clear the 06's off the lot like crazy, 5-speed I-4 coupe FTW!

I've noticed car dealers are doing this more and more. I think they are creating an artificial shortage, to keep the prices up and say we don't have room to negotiate because they are so hot someone else will pay the price.

They tried this crap on me and my mom last week whe nwe went looking for a car for her. I told the guy fine, we'll go somewhere else. Then he started to go down on the price, but we walked because they were being jerks.

Time to look at other vehicles! The camry is hardly the only car available in its class, and it certainly isn't the cheapest to begin with.

I might be wrong, but I don't think there is an artificial Camry shortage. They're just that popular. At least that's what I've been hearing. The situation should be helped quite a bit once the Camry production gets going at Subaru's plant in Lafayette.

yup, buying a new car is one of the worst ways to spend money. but thats good for me, as long as people buy new and replace every few years, I'm gonna go buy them for 25% of the original cost :)

Back when the old new camrys came out in 2002, there was no such shortage(at least in north VA). There were 5 camrys on the lot and we negotiated down from 20300 to 19300 on a auto LE.

That's because that camry wasn't particually eye catching. Whenever a cool looking car comes out everyone rushes to buy them so they can be the first on their block to have one.
