fat --> muscle
and after 2 weeks of not exercising:
muscle --> more fat than before.

That's amazing... good for you, geekbabe! I wish I had the discipline, but I don't. :( I quit my gym membership after I didn't go once in over 4 months. It's a shame, I felt much healthier when I did work out... perhaps I'll rejoin in a few months.

What does your workout regime consist of?

I'm currently doing a 3 day cycle, upper body and 30 min cardio one day,30 min cardio the next day,lower body and 30 min cardio on the 3rd day.. abs are done every day.Complete the cycle then start over, I do my cardio after I lift.

Whew, nice! Do you take classes at your gym, or do you do all of it on your own? Do you have a personal trainer?

I'm going to get a membership at the local athletic club either this month or next... I'm not in bad shape, but I think it would be good for me. One huge bonus is the indoor 'sport-court' so I have somewhere I can skate, rather than strapping the hockey gear on in 10 degree weather. I haven't skated since early fall. :(

You people and your new year's resolutions. I hate when the gym is crowded during January and February. Then it drops off until around April or May when people want to get in shape for swimsuit season. Then it dies out around September/October until January again.:D Ah well I'm happy for you GeekBabe keep it up. I know it is hard to start going (I was out for about a month and a half due to injury/worn out) but keep it up. I know I always feel better when I'm going to the gym during the week. :beer: <---Michelob Ultra (low carb/calorie beer ;) )

uh........NO

fat cant turn into muscle, and muscle cant turn to fat.

I am also eating a lot of small,high quality meals.For the first time in my life I now don't leave the house without having breakfast.My goal is to build muscle at this point,I have enough time to get some gains and then start a cutting cycle end of Feb,beginning of March.

On my birthday my trainer is going to reevaluate my leg program,start me on squats and free weights
I'll also start working once a week or so with a trainer even if it means working some overtime to afford it.
