And what are you gonna do without your pet monsters, cloaks of invisbility+2, various potions, and every other freaking thing that require magic to be created?
I just finished up my final research paper dealing with wizardy. Just about everyone I could find (scrolls, creepy old wizards, etc) agree that magic production is going to peak around 2010 (5 freaking years from now) and current known magic reserves will run out by 2045-2050. We have roughly 5 years until a dragon war starts as to who gets the remaining wizards. We then have to come up with an alternate source of magic.
The worst part is the fact that most other magical sources of energy (pixies, elves, genies, etc etc etc) really won't work. They all either require wizards to function or the net magic output is less than the initial amount of magic needed to create it.
So, what are your thoughts on the subject? How are we supposed to get our government more interested in alternative magical sources??
**I am not a wizard or anything, just a realist. Magic will run out, no one knows the exact date, but it will happen.**
