upstate NY. Look at TODAY'S and TONIGHT'S FORECAST! This is on top of the approx 2 feet that we already have. I am going to have to tunnel my way out. : /

Today: Snow and widespread blowing snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 26. Windy, with a west wind around 26 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 15 to 21 inches possible.

Tonight: Snow and widespread blowing snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 18. Breezy, with a west wind between 18 and 23 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 10 to 14 inches possible.

Saturday: Snow showers and widespread blowing snow before 10am, then snow showers likely between 10am and 4pm, then a chance of snow showers after 4pm. High near 32. West wind between 9 and 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

Saturday Night: A chance of snow showers before 7pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 21. South wind between 6 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

It could not have happened to a better bunch.

Well deserved in my opinion.

Now get out there and shovel.

And careful not to get a hearth attack. At your age you got to be careful.

Lake Effect snow means she's around the Great Lakes.

The wind whips west -> east along the lakes and picks up their moisture then dumps it on the lands to the east of the lakes.

Every winter I would like to have one big snow that would last for a week or two at most.....

But it doesn't snow in enough Texas 🙁

Have a friend who lives in Plano. He misses the snow terribly. 😉

At least that far north there's a chance of the snow sticking. We were supposed to get .5-1" of snow here last week but just like usual the storms parted around Austin and I only got a few flurries that melted before it even got to the ground.

I like having one or two snows per year (typical here), but unfortunately we get ice rather than snow too many times.
I'm not a winter person.

Yea... that's the way it works for central texas.

The northern part of texas (anything north of dallas) gets their fair share of snow every year. Hell even the area around Houston gets more snow than central texas does.
