So, we all know who the most reviled President is...

This link may be useful if you want to go back to 1945. Looks like it's Truman or Nixon for the least liked, JFK for the most liked. I'm surprised by George HW Bush's numbers up until Spring of 1991.

W is the most reviled. Reagan was the most reviled but then Bush came along and made Reagan look less repulsive by comparison. This pissed people off as they had hoped never again to face a piece of crap like Reagan and then Bush one ups the bastard.

Its not like it really matters. Our Kenyan American president will be defeated in 2012 by Sarah Palin.

Are republicans really stupid enough to put her up there as a candidate again? And vote for her? She has the brain power of an empty picture frame.

I guess they buy her book though so they obviously aren't very bright.

wrong. Carter is the most reviled, but Obama is definitely on the short train to take that spot.

Democrats choose politicians that win elections, not so good at choosing adult statesmen.

AND LOL @ JFK being the most beloved. OP have you ridden too long on your motorcycle without a helmet? The guy was good at making a bunch of pussies cry, but a sex addicted, drug binging juvenile hardly qualifies as "most beloved," or even deservedly so.

If anything you mentally disabled Leftists should revile Kennedy as traitor for lowering taxes and fighting communists with all the toys in the toy box.

But again, the Left operates on emotions and bile not facts and reason

Dude, you really need to let go of the us vs them, rush limbaugh mentality of the republican party.

every president in my lifetime has been shitty. the "small government/personal freedom" party made the government bigger, started the shittiest war possible, and took away personal freedoms. the "fight for the little guy/keep greedy corporations in check" party gave more money than i can even comprehend to huge corporations who had failed due to greed.

its all fuckery.

I wish Dean Martin was our president. 🙁

You're probably right. Maybe it's just that he had ONE of the lowest ever.

dubya did dip below Nixon for a spell, which I believe gives him the lowest rating at any time for a president. It was brief, I think (maybe a week), but it's not like he climbed that much higher at the end.

W hit 29% at one point. Nixon was at 24% at the end. Truman on the other hand was in the low to mid 20s for much of 1951 and 52.

Did you look at the link at all?

No. I was just putting in a comment related to his biggest campaign statement, "Read my lips: no new taxes."

I'm not wasting my time looking over something political in the OT forum! I spent more time typing this out than it probably takes to read it, though.

Yeah, I realized I'm the same way, which is why I changed the post. I can't expect other people to do stuff I wouldn't do myself. 😛

That surprises me a little bit, actually. I would have thought it was when he raised taxes.
Not really. Anyone looking at the budget deficit projections knew who ever won the 1988 election was going to have to raise taxes regardless of campaign rhetoric. The utter failure of Reaganomics was clear to all. The Gulf War coincided with a recession. It was the recession that sunk Bush I. "It's the economy, stupid." came into vogue at that time.

Relevance is hard wherever you come from. That is at the end Bush's 2 terms. Try one from two years into Bush's first term: Over 70%.
Let's see how everyone will hate Obama as much as Bush in the near future.
