thats BS. Mythbusters busted this myth a couple of times.

They couldn't be more wrong. I had a can of soda explode in my car on two separate occasions in my old beat up Taurus I used to drive. Both were during hot Texas summers and the interior of my car likely gets no hotter than the 130-140 range. My friends would joke that my backseat looked like the inside of the car from Pulp Fiction from the soda explosion all over the grey cloth interior.

I'm sure there are some cans that didn't get fused together as well as others or have some sort of structural damage to them that can't come up in every test performed by other groups. Considering that we as a country drink something like 24 BILLION cans a year...there's sure to be a few that slip through the QA cracks.

You could shower at home and put on deodorant before going to the gym.

It's a common misconception that sweat stinks or smells bad. It doesn't. If you exercise and start smelling, the smell was already there, it's just more apparent while you are covered with sweat.

Shower & deoderant @ home > now you are clean and smell good
Gym > leaves you sweaty but still clean
Towel off > sweat gone, still clean, no need for a new layer of deoderant

Done.

You forgot getting a staph infection from the last unclean jackass who rubbed his ass all over the equipment you are using or the mats you are on.

I don't shower after I workout just to smell clean. I shower to get all the funk off me from everyone else too.

Why are you touching the equipment with your bare skin?

Why aren't you wiping down the equipment if you are so paranoid?

You are a bit too sensitive.

I don't touch any equipment in the gym without wiping it down with the anti-bacterial wipes they provide. There are some nasty, smelly people at the gym.

As for not showering after working out, one word for'ya: "EWWWWW!" I don't care if it's my sweat or the bacteria or whatever that makes the smell. Fact is I feel completely disgusting with dried sweat all over my skin. Warm, soapy shower after EVERY workout, FTW. The only time I don't shower at the gym is on the weekends, when i can head home after working out, vs. going straight to work like I do during the week.

SPINOFF: Leaving a can of aerosol spray or cola inside a hot car can cause it to explode. (From Pilot 2)

busted

The aerosol cans didn’t explode inside a car after sitting in the sun for hours. Both aerosol and cola took temperatures of over 300 °F (150 °C) to blow.

I have to disagree with Mythbusters, I had an unopened coke can explode in my car. It was a super hot California summer day. But I can assure you it wasn't anywhere close to 300f. I didn't get back to my car until midnight so it was already sticky as shit. It was nearly impossible to clean the next morning.

I'm not paranoid seeing as I actually have gotten staph a few times from my gym. I train in a crossfit/bjj gym.

I like would like to keep a (Backup) deodorant in my car with it out melting. I live in Florida and were supposed to hit 90s today, so when I step out the house with a small cooler with ice in it, by the time I get to my car, its evaporated already. I have no tints on my car, but do use those foil shades on the windshield, thus turning my interior into an oven.

In going to see if I can find a travel size version of what the OP got for some testing.
