This lady brings in her Dell laptop and tells the tech that it just starts typing random words on its own in word and outlook. She seems rather distraught and believes that there MUST be severe damage, or that someone has "Hacked" her and is playing with her (her words, not mine).
Considering it's not connected to anything (LAN, or WiFi) I figure noone's messing with her via remote desktop.
I watch as three of our techs and the owner gather around and watch the demons take hold and type random sentences out to them.
"Hold back for maybe truancy abounds. One feels quizzical vibrations post modern essences".....the demon(s) apparently have an odd sense of humor.
It finally occurs to one of them, after I ask if there's a built in mic, that she might have voice recognition/dictation software on.
What's that you say? Surely she'd know if she had voice recognition software installed on her own PC....right?
Wrong.
Once we disabled that (read exorcised the demons) she was good to go. We didn't even charge extra for the holy water!
