So they're making Atkins beer now, huh?

Well, now they're marketing it to Atkins dieters.
I wouldn't really say that, I mean.. all light beers are low carb.

Shrug, I mean they could be.. but I personally probably wouldn't have made the connection unless they said diet or atkins. 🙂

i dont understand what your gripe is with it?
His gripe isn't with the beer... It's with the Atkins plan. If you check any Atkins thread, you'll see a single post from him, with some irrational gripe about Atkins (sans any actual facts, of course.)

(Btw, I've lost 29lbs in the last 13 weeks on this "some diet." 😛 )

Cause he's an obnoxious little prick who has a senseless grudge against overweight people. May you be cursed with diabetes and/or bad glands when you get older, notfred :disgust:

because of the tag line, "Cut the carbs, not the flavor"?

That has been the tag line from the beginning. I'm yet to see a commercial that has any reference to atkins.

Yeah... That's another way of putting it. 😉

Although I never noticed that he had a thing against overweight people, in general. I thought it was just against a diet that he has never researched or even fully understands. *shrugs*

Whatever. *shrugs*

I have yet to see any other dieter but someone on Atkins who would be specifically interested to know that his beer has 2.6carbs per serving. If they're not marketing it to people on atkins, who are they selling it to?

they've never said anything about atkins, they've always said it is low on carbs. now miller lite is talking about how its only 96 calories and 3.2 grams of carbs, which is 1/3 less calories and half the carbs of bud light. which explains why miller lite tastes like ass.

People on low-carb diets other then Atkins, possibly diabetics, people who want to have a few beers but without the extra calories?

Michelob Ultra has been marketed as a low carb beer from the start. Most light beers have 5 or more carbs. Michelob Ultra has about 2 1/2.

I don't know when I implied I had a grudge against overweight people, either....

And if someone wrote a book on the "all cheesecake diet" would you discount it as a stupid diet without reading the book? Unless you say "Yeah, I'd read the book and give serious consideration to the merit of an all cheesecake diet" you can't fault me for doing the same with an all fat and protein diet.

Every Atkins thread, for one, and this thread in particular!

Diabetics. 😉

(yes, carb content in beer makes a difference to diabetics -- though I don't drink lite beer, or for that matter, much beer at all)

People think that you are a jackass, most likely because of posts like: "Why is everyone on this forum a lardass?"

If I were to "discount" any concept, I would certainly do the research first. Otherwise, I'd end up looking as uneducated as you do, when you talk about the Atkins plan.

Do you have a grudge against beer too?

I hope not, that would discount your manhood.

What the hell is your problem to post a response like this in X-man's thread? That is freaking uncalled for.

My dad is diabetic and was overweight. He almost died until he got his kidney transplants.
