Okay, Tropic Thunder was mild lulz... but this could really work.

Cruise spoke to E! backstage after the awards and revealed that he’s so intoxicated by the confused laughter he gets when reprising the character that he actually has a Les Grossman movie in the works. “We’re working on it,” he beamed. “Yup, we’re working on it.”

Might actually be one of the few original ideas Hollywood has had in a long time.

Or it might be stupid as fuck.

I'll take option "B". Historically, taking a funny-in-small-doses character role and attempting to build a feature-length movie around it is an awful idea. CF. just about every SNL movie.
