Gathering to watch such a thing is natural human curiosity. Egging someone on to jump either verbally or otherwise is the basest level of humanity possible. People who yell jump or get angry that a jumper is causing them an inconvenience deserve to have a loved one serious injured.

A reasonably large crowd has gathered in the coffee shop across the street watching and I went down to see the situation out of morbid curiosity. Inside the crowd there was a guy walking around saying he'll give a $100 bill to the first person to scream "jump" and people were giving him looks of absolute disgust. What makes people think this is an okay thing to do? I just flat out don't understand. I know some people deal with a situation like that with humor and such, but that is a bit ridiculous.
