So the company institued a one drink limit at the pinic this year

Please note that at all future office parties and Company picnics there will be only one drink per person.

Well what came with it was
This company also has a 1 drink limit to each employee at the Summer Company Picnic.

That's stupid.
 
we used to have a 3 drink max. they would hand out red tickets.

we got around this two ways:
1) many people don't go to the parties, so they'd give us their tickets
2) we noticed that we could buy the same tickets at party city.. you can deduce the rest.
 
That's funny, I wonder what the real story was behind it.

My company doesn't even have a one drink limit for drinking AT WORK, you just have to wait until after 5:00.
