i know the verge is. and they finally proved it in an article where they switched from the iphone to the htc one x and said he was apple biased. Not cool when you are a biased reviewer. but AT is cool and has alot of information that no other reviewers have.

The Verge is a website run by a group of people. It is not a hive mind where all of their reviewers think the same. You need to learn to separate the brand from the people than run it which you may have negative comments on.

Why do people keep bringing this up? When have I mentioned changing out the ROM on any device, or hell even rooting it? Launcher. When you go off about custom ROMs when I am talking about installing a launcher it makes me question if you have ever even seen an ad for an Android device ;)

I mentioned it because you say that the first thing an Anandtech reader, who's highly technical, does is replace the launcher. You're wrong. I do not replace the launcher. I'm rooted and rom'd but I still use Touchwiz launcher.

The problem was they were using a POS app that AT users wouldn't have been using(the built in browser).
I also use the shipped browser. Can't stand Chrome, Dolphin, Firefox, whatever on mobile devices. I refuse to support Opera as a company.

The short of it is, because they have a sub-par product and can't compete, they're the reason the EU forced Microsoft into that whole browser choice thing.

I don't think it was just Opera that was complaining.

I disagree, we all have certain manufacturers we look to first when we need something. Reviewers are human, just like us, as long as they openly disclose that they have an affinity towards a certain brand I have no problem with it, provided they can remain objective enough to get that their preferences won't always be the same as those of their readers.
