I read this (link) and am wondering if this was just for the first show or if they're trying to do it for all their shows. I'm really torn on the idea of it, as I really do find myself getting annoyed with idiots trying to record the shows causing the stage view to be littered with tons of little screens. On the other hand I'm not sure how I feel about someone blocking me from my phone. Seems wrong somehow..

No... That specifically talked about a secret small club show.

They're playing NFL arenas. 60-80k+ potential seating venues.

Also, it was a really good show. I was thoroughly surprised and pleased. If I had to nit pick, I'd say that Axl starts to go hoarse and his "normal" voice singing suffers a little bit, but he's almost always using that weird voice, and it stays strong.

As it turns out I need to unload one of my pairs of tickets - I have tickets for both LA and SD, first row of the respective sections. I am asking face for either pair - $200/SD $300/LA. PM me for info.

dude, that concert was awesome. some clunkers in that setlist, but 90% was fucking awesome. Paradise City live is fucking aweesome.

but for me, the highlights were actually civil war, patience, and better (out of all songs...)

A far superior show than AC/DC IMO.

I watched it last week. It was a much better show than I expected. I do think that Axl had some vocal help, be it a backup track or full blown lip syncing. It might have been a case of him working really hard on his voice and breath but considering how bad he sounded in the 90s to now, it's a different world. I was also confused when they did "Patience" and he ran from one side of the stage to the other without any breath issues while still bolting out the high notes at the end. The stage was at least 40 feet across so at the speeds he was running I would have expected a bit of an issue. Still a great show, Slash was Slash and still a hell of a guitarist.

The only thing I'm still really confused about is why did they need 2 keyboardist? They songs didn't have anywhere near enough keyboards to have the one guy, let alone the second woman they added. Combine that with Axl playing a piano during some of the songs and I was really confused.

I just watched videos of a couple of the songs, better than I expected. Most of the time the dino rock guys should hang it up before 40, but I could see this being entertaining.

this seems likely, as he did sound a lot better than I expected.

If the band hasn't broken up by then, the prediction for your $300 ticket:
.......Minimal effort will be given all-around as they'll be dogged tired & bored playing the same old songs.........Axl's voice will be shot and Slash's fingers will be rubbed raw from all the guitar playing forcing him to gingerly skip every other note.
They rocked.

Guns n' fuckin' roses kicked complete ass

Shows how far Axl has come when the piano broke during November Rain and he went right back into the song
