I just called Dell and they have a pre-recorded msg saying that

If your computer is running slow, freezing, or experiencing stop errors, etc. you are most likely infected with a virus.

Wow, talk about a generalization.

Then they proceeded to say that they are experiencing extremely long wait times due to a new internet worm.


good lord. just transfer me to india. :disgust:

Call at night. My hard drive went out and on my Inspiron 600M on Monday night, i called up Dell waited less than 1 minute, and I had a new one on my doorstep last night (Wed). Back up and running today(Thurs)... That was with the standard 1 yr warranty...nothing special.

I hate most when the automated voice asks you to enter your express service code, then the first thing the tech asks when answering is "what?s your express service code" aarhhhh!...
