Seriously, anyone who bought them the right side of takeover news must have had some very happy days after both companies got 50% increases in stock price over 1 day.
I wonder if this is going to continue much more, and who might be next to see such gains.

The offer price for Yhoo may have been at a 50% increase to their stock value, but the stock value itself did not go up 50%. It did go up a good amount, but not that much. And of course, neither company has taken the offers.

Actually it did go up 50%, as did Take2 (53%).
YHOO was down at about $19 and then hit $29~$30 right after the offer.

I wish.

I did make 100% on one stock during the dot com bubble, (Aware). The stock had massive shorts and after one press release, the stock price doubled that day. Made over $100k on that stock that day. Now I don't have the balls to do something that stupid.

so who here made it big from ABK.

actually im sure some of us did, but at that time... nobody knew whether it'd just fold.

YHOO was never that appealing, and TTWO... i doubt anyone would seriously consider investing in video game companies.

There's nothing wrong in investing in them.
I'm still holding Nintendo.

In fact the video gaming industry is one of the few industries growing yearly.
Wasn't there a recent report that said video game sales are up by 20%? I believe so.

If Blizzard Entertainment had their own separate stock, I'd buy it.
None of that Vivendi or "Acti-blizzard" crap stock.
