Stop leaving your wireless network unsecured and hoping people won't find out?

nah, if the other dude is running windows and unpatched its easy - hell anything unpatched is easy.
either that or keep an eye on him (if he is fully patched) and get the latests kits.

BTW turning off SSID does NOTHING! MAC filtering is worthless too. All these "security" methods are worse than no security at all because a false sense of being secure is worse than leaving the doors wide open. At least you know when cue calls to be bending over.
There are five ways to get SSID and turning off broadast prevents one.
USE WPA at the minimum if CPE supports it. If you have a windows 2000 or higher server install IAS and set up a radius client. If you run Linux you can use Livingston, etc.

I have a Linksys wireless router setup, with a limit of 3 dhcp users. I have 2 computers always on, one wireless and one not. I leave the third one for my xbox, but it isn't always on. I just checked my DCHP table, and I notice a leech on my wireless network. I know I can just net send him, but I wanna do something funnier!
What should I do? (please keep it legal) 😀
edit: its WLAN, not WAN, my bad!
