My roomate had a date with his girl in Santa Monica and he was throwed away and left behind. (I guess, coz all I know is he just called me with Collect, with no money, and is 30 miles away from where I am -- home)
I have no car and can't drive, how the heck can I pick him up? he said he will go ho-bo for tonite,
but hell, it ain't safe in LA!
 
Sorry bud, if your friend was closer to San Diego I'd pick him up and give him a lift home. But as is he's over 100 miles away. Hmm, as a suggestion, have him look in the phone book for a community help line, they might be able to suggest one of those free services that gives drunk people free rides home. If he explained his situation, they might give him a ride. Good luck...
 
Dude, he didn't bring any money?! That is just DUMB!

Call him a cab, you can't imagine how grateful he will be!

he just called and I accidentally hanged up on him coz I pressed the Call Button right after I picked up the phone.... ah... it was him I am sure....
 
no, he's dead broke, and I mean it, for this whole week he hasn't spend a dime.
and he still owes me money too!

he just called and said he will be walking towards South Central in 2 mins,
that call was 3 mins ago.... 😱OOOO dang...

awkwards predicament:
I HAVE NO MONEY TOO! I left my wallet somewhere and I have ZERO CASH. what I can do now is borrow 20 bucks from my other roommate and salvage whatever is left in the house.
I found a small Safe and lots of coins in it, but it got a God dAMN turn-thingie-nob password on it!
so I try turned it randomly and WHALA, it opened! that safe was heavy too, but IT WAS ALL FREAKING PENNIES!
so now I am like count how much pennies there are.. hopefully sufficient for the cab driver.

do you think I could Paypal him later? damn, all I got is a personal check book if that would help.
 
that sucks...i'm 15-20 minutes away from santa monica. where do y'all live? monterey park/alhambra? or long beach?
 
ok, final update

he is fine and he hitchhiked back home (at least its safer than walking thru South Central in the middle of the freezing nite) He slept and went to work the next morning b4 I woke up.
not much detail about what really happened last nite but it wasn't that surprising coz her g/f is quite 'berzerkic.'

btw: imhotepmp = andylawcc, at least last nite. imhotepmp is the other roomate. 🙂 sorry marquis...
