Final act as president was to pardon his own family, citing partisan attacks on all of them by political opposition members.

Embarrassing that had to happen.

"Mr. Biden’s action pardoned James B. Biden, his brother; Sara Jones Biden, James’s wife; Valerie Biden Owens, Mr. Biden’s sister; John T. Owens, Ms. Owens’s husband; and Francis W. Biden, Mr. Biden’s brother."

Joe Biden gives pre-emptive pardons in order to stave off the rot and corruption of Trump - who we all know does not respect the rule of law, or the constitution, or the oath of the office he is about to take at this farce of an inauguration.

Joe Biden thinks these things but yet is riding in a limo with Trump to maintain norms and traditions and then give validity to this farce of an inauguration.

We can't get rid of Joe Biden fast enough. What a pathetic doddering old fool.

Have to admit it does seem a bit contradictory - on the one hand behaving as if everything is perfectly normal, and just another peaceful transition to another normal administration, and at the same time issuing pardons to everyone close to you suggesting an extreme anxiety that some sort of quasi-fascist regime is going to go after them. Akin to the captain and crew preparing themselves a lifeboat while telling the passengers everything's fine, just normal rough seas.

Who said anything about pouting. come on. Just simply don't attend.

Why is this so hard for people to comprehend?
Because, sometimes in life you have to give a toddler an example of the proper, and honorable way to behave during the transfer of power, even when the toddler is a grown ass man who doesn't deserve it. He's not doing it for Trump, he's doing it for the nation to show respect to our country, it's citizens, and honoring the ceremony, as well as respecting the office of President which Trump the toddler and Felon now holds.

I mean to me this is a bit crazy to say.

Number one we tried this already in 2016. Trump didn't respect shit then and he's only gotten way worse.

Second, How is helping legitimize this farce of an inauguration good for the country? How is that good for America? Joe Biden ing riding Trump a letter like it's going to mean anything? We know it's not and it just shows that the Democratic leadership does not understand how to deal with this situation. They're a joke

I don't understand why? The legal system will now be fair and not used for political agendas...

That does nothing but make him look petty, just like it did for Trump in 2021.

Man if it's one thing That people need to learn really quickly is that the Democrats go high when they go low and look where the fuck it got us. It doesn't matter if Biden didn't go. it's just going to be a blip on the radar if he doesn't go, And they're still going to talk the same shit either way it's going to be about something else and this won't matter. At least make a statement by not going. Don't legitimize this. They're going to have their talking points and shit on us anyway.

Imagine still thinking we have to go high and uphold the norms. The Democrats will never learn, because of shit like this. It shows that there is a lack of understanding of how things work now, fundamentally. You're still holding on to something that doesn't exist.

I really thought you where more mature than this. It seems my last sentence was over your head, because you don't seem to grasp the importance of giving the apprororate example of how to properly act and show respect for the institution of the innogeration, transfer of power, and the Office of President. (it has nothing to do with Trump). A person with integrity, a real leader, always tries to give the approperatly example of how to act, with digintiy, honor, and respect Even when those around them don't know how, chose not too, and/or are just shitty people who don't know how to act honor and diginity. You don't give up, you dont lose your values, or ignore proper traditions, yo don't stop doing what's right, and start acting like a shitty person yourself, just because the other people are being shitty.

Man some people are really fucking dumb. Let's respect norms, after look what's happened. So stupid. I'm not asking for Democrats to break legal norms like subverting the Constitution, but this is just pathetic to validate this farce of handling over power to a corrupt fascist.

I'm sorry I think anybody who thinks that Biden doing shit like this is what has to be done, is a fucking moron that doesn't have a clue about what kind of situation we are in. You simply lack a basic understanding of some very basic reality.

If you think respecting norms like Biden is here, saying welcome home to Trump after their limo ride together, is the right thing to do, I'm sorry I think you're a fucking idiot.

They can still be investigated. It's not like there will be anything from this to preemptively stop Patel. And they can still be brought in for some made up hearings. Probably even more so now that they're "immune". Fauci with 2 weeks of trying to explain GoF to Sen. Kennedy would be funny to watch though.
Fauci can tell everyone again how he "is science", and that he didn't send emails and make phone calls in order to bully anyone not supporting his "science" narrative.

You should take a step back and think about why these are necessary in the first place.
To absolve people from crimes. That's what a pardon does. Since Fauci, Ceney, Schiff, and Biden family members are now pardoned, they won't mind a public revel of their crimes. They are the party of transparency and fighting for democracy, right?

he's gone senile...welcome home?, wtf
Biden has become an embarrassment. Ever since he decided to run again he's been an embarrassment and a failure. And everyday he keeps proving it, Just like he's doing it today. If I wanted to use alliteration I would call Biden a delusional dunce. That's pretty much what he is at this point

Zero examples of Trump's fascism besides your hurt feelz. Biden was at the helm for one of the most corrupt Presidential terms and then issues blanket pardons for family and political allies to prevent criminal persecutions.

The country is literally burning, its institutions falling apart and corrupted by the actual white nationalist fascist oligarchs coming in, who respect nothing of its systems and norms at all, and yet we see a bunch of Dems worrying about Biden respecting traditional pomp and circumstance which give validity to pure corruption and evil taking over - a total farce of what this day actually stands for.

Holy fuck people. Wake up and smell the burning coffee. We have no chance of beating this if this is the reality you think we still live in, that pomp and circumstance should be honored.
