I don't see why, Trump's DOJ just needs to assert that they're being prosecuted for reasons that weren't specified by Biden's pardon. At worst, Trump gets SCOTUS to wave a magic wand and then the trials could go ahead.

Looks like Biden took away Trump's ability to be a spiteful child. Donnie just had his favorite fascist retribution toy taken away from him.

Trump should be grilled day one to specifically detail what MAJOR CRIMES! (Trumps all caps tweet) these people committed. After he goes into his dodge or blatantly lies, the journalists should call him out on that. Oh, I forgot, nobody has the stones to do that shit anymore..

The problem is I think he believes them and isn't trying to make arguments in bad faith. I know a ton of people that think just like him in real life.

The other options are that the intellectual horsepower to process information rationally is absent or buy in to the cult is so strong that contradictory evidence must be disbelieved as a matter of faith. I don't discount those as possibilities.

Joe Biden gives pre-emptive pardons in order to stave off the rot and corruption of Trump - who we all know does not respect the rule of law, or the constitution, or the oath of the office he is about to take at this farce of an inauguration.

Joe Biden thinks these things but yet is riding in a limo with Trump to maintain norms and traditions and then give validity to this farce of an inauguration.

Pretty sure it is the latter for most of them. The massive information bubbles that the internet/right wing radio/TV creates obviously doesn't help either.
