God I hate people like this. I was at the store sitting in the car and this person parks next to me and opens the door hard and hits my door and leaves a ding. What does he do? Just goes into the store pretending like he did nothing. So I go out and look at my door, he comes back and tells me to get out of his way??? Im like WTF??? You just dinged my door. He goes no I didnt. I tell him I was sitting in my car, I saw you do it. It goes on and on and and he says sorry and just leaves.. God I hate people like that.

The thing is if he would of said sorry in the beginning I would of been pissed but hey accidents happen... btw my car was brand new, less than 1 month old :(

First of all, its just he place where I got my car fixed up, as I bought it totaled... and he happens to be a friend of the family, that is how I know him personally. If I get it done the old fashioned way, it will be several hundred. I will not even touch a ding king or whatever they have one TV, but I will explore paintless dent removal.. as I've had that done once to my car. But when I took it there (also a good friend), he explained not all dents are able to be removed that way without having the paint crack.

Almost every car dealer uses dent wizard or a similar franchise to remove the dozens of door dings cars get on the lots. It works really well and is cheap.

well i will have to go with the people who think you're an ASSHAT! for one thing you didn't acually witness her dinging your door, you are just ASSuming she did, for another thing you are ASSuming that she knew she did it (IF she did in fact do it) and was trying to run away.not to mention the fact that you are a jackass for wasting the time of the cops for a fvcking doording. in my opinion you are the type of person who deserves a good old fashioned keyjob, egging, piss in the gastank.
and then i hope your insurance does go up.

people like you can go to hell!

c'mon now it's not freaking rocket science here

you're sitting at wendy's, with a map of every single ding/dent on your car in your head. chicka parks next to you, only car that was parked next to you, open the door, slams it really quick then drives off. then you go out there and there's a ding, it's not hard to put 2 and 2 together here, dents and dings don't just magically appear

yes it's only a 40-60 dollar repair using some pdr service, but hey, if she did it, she deserves to pay. since she drove off, well isn't that just too bad then?

if you don't baby your car and you don't give a sh!t, fine, but some people do

Wow, you must be the icon of trailer trash if you wish someone's car to be egged, keyed, and pissed on.

Put 2 and 2 together man, I know my car, it had not one dent on it, she speeds away, I got out there and there is a ding on the passenger side on the EXACT door that she would have been opening her drivers side door into.

I've seen the paintless dent removal done, and not by the "ding king" BS. For example, when mine was done, the tail light was removed, and the guy went in and tapped the dent out from behind the metal.

i hate mutha fvcks that ding people's doors. i want to kill them. i remember someone said they had a corvette that got dinged. he got out of the store, went to the dumbass woman who did it and completely kicked off their side window.

i wouldnt have been that extreme. i would have keyed the person's car from hood to end.

I can't believe there are so many people trying to say he should just let this go! O M G if I had a nice expensive car you better believe I'd be doing anything I could to prevent dings and dents. Why work your ass off to pay for a new(er) expensive car if you're just gonna let it go to sh!t like that??? You have every right and every reason to protect your car and anyone who damages it must be held accountable for. You people who are acting like this is no big deal and it should just be shrugged off are asshats!

Well, personally I have hit other people's cars with my door before. I left a nice ding and scratch on a brand new '98 Celica a few years ago. I waited around for about 15 minutes but was in a hurry to leave. So, I wrote down my name, phone number, and insurance info. I also took a picture of the damage (I carry a cheap digital cam in the car with me) then i left the note under the wiper blade and drove off). Later that afternoon a lady called me and just said thank you for leaving my information. She never filed a claim or asked that I pay anyhing for it. She just said it was okay and thanked me for being courteous. I'm not trying to toot my own horn here, I'm just saying that If I'm willing to take responsibility like this, I would really hope that others would take responsibility if they did the same to me. I applaud you for your actions in filing a report.

This kind of behavior would be overreaction if you drove a brand new $60,000 car. Finding the person and confronting her is one thing, calling the police because someone dinged your door in a parking lot is completely and totally absurd. Now if she had actually HIT your car with hers, that would be a different story - but all this because she opened her car door into yours?!?

I can't wait for the next message from you which will say something like "So I was sleeping last night, and I heard this noise, and I walk outside and my windshield was smashed in with a brick.. I know that girl had to have done it, but I called the police and they said there's nothing I can do because I can't prove it was her."

That is what we call poetic justice.

Ohh yeah... Well the jerk store called and they're running low on you:D:D

What's your point. You're their all time best seller.

J/k I love that quote.

You have one heck of a case here, you should sue. I'm pretty sure leaving the scene of a door-ding is a Class A felony, and she should pay with time in the "bighouse". Once she has lost the criminal case you can go after her assets in Civil court, no way a jury will let her get away with this one.

The cops give a damn, that's who. And they're obviously doing something about it.

One time I got a note on my window but not for them hitting me but for them assuming that I had bumped their car I don't think their was a dent probably a scuff mark or something.

She(based on the pretty handwriting) basically said "you bastard you didn't even leave a note after bumping my car. I notice you seem to have this problem alot based on your bumper, You are lucky im so nice next time you won't be so lucky"

My car was a honda with one of those black rubber bumpers and It did have some sratches on it but this car was also bought used and was 8 years old. The place I park was a high traffic area near a college.

I was pissed that she assumed it was me because I didn't hit her car at all when I parked and if I had I would've checked to see if their was any damage. Not only that but since the spot I parked in was empty when I parked in it its also possible that 2-3 cars had been behind her as well.

I also had a witness when I parked and they didn't notice me hitting the other car either.

So I stand by my word that I didn't hit her car and I am an excellent parallel parker.

I am a big guy and sometimes it is quite difficult to get in and out of my car so I usually just put my hand where the door would hit if its too tight because my hand can heal but a keyed car is expensive.

Another Question to you All.
If you had an assigned parking spot behind a building but still accessible to everyone and someone was in your spot would you call a towing company and fear retribution?
I fear that if I called the tower that the persons car towed would be pissed and since they know what spot it is they could come back later key my car.

I feel good now 'cause i'm one of those people that will hold on to my car door in a tight spot and ensure it never hits the other car. Then i squeeze my skinny little butt in the car in an awkward fashion.

You wanted her number and her address? (ok, it was inferred)... you better be careful with that, if some dude showed up all hostile at my house, they'd probably get shot or the sh!t beat out of them.

i am the same, but dents and dings happen. you can't baby youir car, there are more important things out there in life than to baby a freakin car. at first i washed it and everything but then i learned that sh!t happens and you can't do anything about it. you live with it. i also believe in Kharma. so, i wouldn't have reported her, first because i don't have the time to pursue her, but everything will even out somehow.

Jesus' messenger speaks!

Dude, deal with it. It's a effing car, an object, get over it.
What are you going to do? Go over there and demand money? Scream at her and who she lives with?

Let's see, you can file an insurance, claim, which will ultimatly cost you money.
You can take her to court, which will ultimatly cost you money and time, which is money.
You can hope that the town or city decides to press charges against her for some odd reason, and takes it to court.
Highly unlikely, but if it happens, it will take your time, which usually equals your money.

You did take the cops time though, which costs the tax payers, which probably costs you if you pay taxes.

I say shoot her and eat her family.
