To the OP, funny story, I believe that is why you are suppose to bend your head over a sink and color your hair and rinse it off that way it doesn't run down your body and discolor it.

As far as the sink goes, ours is not really conducive for that. Not to mention I have been coloring my hair for about 11 years now and have never run into that problem before.
