A majority feel it's the government's job to provide for people.

It is the job of the people to start looking for work, well in advance of UI expiring. It's not the governments job.

No gov't shutdown, and... hooray! More SPENDING!!!!

I guess if China continues giving us money, even knowing there ain't a chance in hell of the debt being repaid, might as well spend it, amiright?
