Through a terrible confluence of date changes my 12 month long project consuming most of my working time rolled out Friday afternoon (ahead of schedule and under budget) and another long running project that consumed much of the rest of my time wrapped up yesterday. Monday and Tuesday were coffee fueled blurs but everything went very smoothly. I blocked off time this week to deal with any issues from the two roll outs but, beyond some minor requested tweaks, things are running well.

Its a bit of a weird feeling to be sitting here and basically done with two things that took almost all of my time and have nothing else immediately demanding attention.

Congrats, you have now proven to management that ridiculous schedules are totally doable.

This is government\higher ed work. Ridiculous schedules don't exist (unless you're talking about how much longer things take than in the private sector.

Gotcha. I only now got access to a database that is supposedly critical for doing my job one year and seven months after I started.
