what is champ car, is it just like indy or F1 ? Now that I see the tracks, it looks like F1.

Jacque Villenueve was a champ car champion before he went to F1 wasn't he?

It was called Indycars before... but Tony George, the person who owns Indy, wasn't happy that he was losing control of the series, that there were a lot of road courses, and there was a lack of American drivers. So he took his race, the Indy 500, and started his own series which is now the IRL. Indycar had to change their name to CART, OWRS, Champcar or whatever it is nowadays... and America now has two pitiful open wheel racing series.

Ironically, IRL is slowly crossing over to roadcourses and if you look at the grid, they probably have more foreign racers than Americans.

What's pretty funny is when CART or Champcar drivers started racing in the Indy 500 again in the last couple of years... they were all running in front of the IRL people... hahahaha.

Champ Car rocks. CART I guess. She just about went down the crapper last year though. Her future is pretty uncertain.
