Radeon X1900XT
MSI K9N SLI Platinum
Athlon 64 X2 4200 (AM2)
Seagate 160GB 7200.9 hdd
Seagate 500GB 7200.9 hdd
Recycling 2x Seagate 300GB 7200.8 from my old setup
Recycling Pioneer 16x DVD-ROM slot load
Recycling Plextor 716 DVD Writer

I would have been able to use my current 160GB Seagate and my second burner, but all the NV5 mobos only have 1 ATA100 port, so two PATA devices. I could have gotten a controller card, but past experience with those is sour.

At the moment, everything has shipped, except the CPU, which is slated to ship next tuesday, hopefully.

Eh, he's got an AM2. My take on getting new systems is to just get it. Something new is bound to come out. With how things go, you can't predict nor gauge how quickly the computer market shifts. Always new stuff, faster, better stuff comes out. Can't be helped. Just get a system, enjoy it, utilize it, etc. The waiting only adds to the frustration.

Hell, AMD and Intel are already hinting new sockets in about 1-1.5 year time. Then DDR3 comes out. Then holographic storage. Then new LCD technology. Then virtual reality, then the holodeck becomes realized and we have warp technology. So then you'll see everyone zipping by in warp starships using cloaking devices with yoda laughing at you because you are now waiting for the "next" big thing. Yeah its a reach but my point is made.

Can't wait forever. You see a good deal, pull the trigger, mac.
