Good luck getting sympathy from a bunch of socially and emotionally inept nerds sitting in their parents basements, chatting on a virtual community website, looking for a sense of belonging, wishing they had friends with whom they could run around and have innocent (albeit annoying to others) fun.

Fixed.

(not that they deserved to die)

Fixed again.

Forgive me for thinking that PEOPLE (you know, those bipedal beasts that have a unique personality trait called compassion) were the things contributing to this board.

Christ, if death was the punishment for doing something stupid as a teenager, we'd barely have any posters on this board at all. Oh wait, that's right. Nobody here has ever done anything stupid as a teenager.

Apparently ya'll believe that death is a suitable punishment for annoying teenage pranks? If that's the case, then where do i sign the ballot that endorses torture tactics for moronic bulletin-board posts?

I don't think one exists - maybe you should start one.

Why? I think you're well on your way for proving the need for such a bill.

I'd sign it 😛

The loss of life is tragic, and this case is no exception. That being said, this is what happens when a bunch of rowdy kids are in one car together. If only there was a cop nearby who could have caught them playing their silly game and put a less deadly end to it.

Are you kidding? One out of roughly every 10 posts is someone telling us about something idiotic they did, and how they don't think they should have any repercussions.

What the hell is ding dong ditch? I've never heard it called that.

Did you even read the OP?

It's explained perfectly there.

I read the OP, and comprehended what it is when I read it. I've just never heard the term ding dong ditch before.

we have alot of terms in Rochester, NY that you won't hear elsewhere. but im sure ding dong ditch isn't a local term.

I live in NY and never heard of ding dong ditch. I bet the guy that chased them in his car is sweating bullets and drove right past the scene. Bet he feels like a creep and for the rest of his life this will haunt him. I know I would feel terribly guilty.

Will never know the real details of this accident but it serves as an example of what not to do if someone rings your doorbell and runs away. Call the police and don't take matters into your own hands. This is no different than road rage when someone gives you the finger.

It's sad that the kids got killed. My best wishes go out to their families.

Me thinks he was being sarcastic.

Is that what it's called these days?

OP, you're sister's friends died from injuries sustained due to negligent operation of an automobile; they didn't die knocking on someone's door.

I remember my friend did this long long ago at an East Indians house..he rang the bell, started to run, tripped, and the guy came after him with a 2x4 and just beat him with it

Watch for new laws to be passed. too bad common sense can't be legislated

yep. best to let darwin work stuff like this out. should be deterrent enough for those with common sense.

although I do think laws regarding teen driving should be more strict. e.g. earlier driving curfews, more clasroom hours, older age for driving permits, more hours behind the wheel with a parent et al

Who calls it ding dong ditch?

I've heard of knock knock zoom zoom and doorbell dixie but never ding dong ditch
