Had a similar problem a couple of months ago.

Lived in a confused state for about a week.

Turned off (unplugged) DSL modem for 15 seconds and then plugged it back in.

Internet became fast again.

that's your problem. use firefox

I was checking out firefox earlier tonight ...... Im weary of new things! plus I figured if I didnt like it I probably am not smart enough to get IE loaded again!

I had that problem today, and had to call about it..........where I live I can only get 1.5down, 256kbps for the basic rate because they will never upgrade. Usually had over 1000kbps on download portion, recently it went to 200-300kbps.........fvcking bs

Avoid like the plague. A browser that's integrated into the OS, while vaguely convenient, won't be the fastest thing ever.

Go with Firefox or (prefferably) Mozilla. Moz has all the features of Firefox with an integrated mail client, and some extra features. Firefox feels "dumbed down" to me. Not "that kid from Life Goes On" dumb, more like "Ken Jennings compared to Stephen Hawking" dumb. Still pretty damn good. 😉

That might be true if you could actually remove IE. Seriously, try. Then, if you somehow succeed, type a web address into Windows Explorer.
