so my co-worker jammed a nail about 1 inch into my thigh by accident.....

I was so busy and had so much work to do that I shrugged it off...was expecting a pool of blood but only have a a little red dot. odds are it probably didn;t go in an inch since the hole in my jeans was pretty small and the nail was nailnormous....it will hurt a lot...


<--recently got a tetnus shot and eats 'Nature's best" granola bars so he thinks he'll be fine



hurt like hell for the split second it was in there and the other split second when I realizd that it was in there and the OTHER split second in which I forced the piece of wood (w/ the nail) out

I left my wallet in another state so I had to drive there. When I got there, my gf left the keys in my car (nothing new, I give her the keys as I go out and open the door because my hands and pockets are full). Because of that, security came to try and help and used a wedge and some thick wire to press the unlock of my car. The wedge damaged the door (where the B-Pillar is) and perhaps down to where it can rust. Now I'll have to have it detailed or something sometime.

Ummm lets see.

1.) Boss gave me 40 bucks out of HIS pocket for my birthday and bought me lunch(coolest boss EVAH!)
2.) Made fun of Grey's Anatomy with a few of the attending doctors at work.
3.) Ate a piece of double layer chocolate cake that my girlfriend made for me for my birthday
4.) Worked 12 hours at my lovely inner city trauma hospital.

Meh, just a normal day :)

Eh it wasnt too shabby today, only had to restart a few IVs and draw a few patients blood. We were busy but nothing majorly crazy like is normally the case. Despite that we had one ignorant family member attempt to threaten to sue the hospital before getting owned by one our best attending docs, had a heroin addict who was detoxing leave AMA....he was an angry SOB even with his methodone :p

And you think it's fun getting poked with a nail? 2 weeks back I accidently was splashed in the face with blood. Thank God I had my glasses on is all I'm saying man.

Working construction for 20 odd years I have stepped on enough nails to frame a house.

The best nail incident I have seen is my poor Dad stepped on 2 side by side framing nails and they went all the way through his foot.

Best I heard was an old almost 400lb framer we had shot himself in the knee with a framing gun. His helpers found him cussing his ass off and trying to pull it out with pliers. It took 4 guys to carry him to a car so he could go to the hospital.

Lots of gore on construction sites, I could fill a book with stories I heard.
